So I haven't heard this talked about much but it really bothers me. I have driven 6 ecoboost mustangs and they all suffered from the same hood alignment flaw (spend a lot of time in rental cars and own a 2016). If you stand in front of the car and view the top of the front fascia (where it meets the hood) you will notice that the front edge of the hood (Center crease) sits slightly lower than the front fascia rather than being even. The result is a gap that starts off uniform at the outer edges then pinches towards the middle. I have also rented the V6 and compared it to the ecoboost side by side. The V6 does not suffer from the alignment issue nor does the GT.

I recently installed the Roush front fascia on my personal ecoboost mustang and the alignment issue was still present. It bugs the he'll out of me! I tried making adjustments to the hood latch height but there is no way to raise the center of the hood without raising the outboard corners.

The only way I can think to remedy this is to remove some material from the plastic support structure that the fascia mounts to.

Has anyone attacked this yet?

Below are some stock photos demonstrating the issue. The last photo is my car with the Roush fascia installed.

Here is a thread I started concerning the same issue I am having with my 2015 GT

http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27279

I was so ticked off about the issue I took it to two different dealers three times and I just finally gave up.

Every time I would bring it in I would get it back with another ding or scrape.

I think it is an issue with the hood being too flat. I have read where people put spacers under the fascia to bring the outside edges up after raising the hood up in the center.

Only problem with that is the hood will begin to shake while you are driving down the road.

After I gave up on fixing this one, I special ordered two other 2016 Mustangs and I was going to take the depreciation just so I could have a new car without the messed up front end.

BOTH of the Mustangs I ordered came with the same issue. I didn't purchase either one.

Funny how you don't see that issue in any of Fords literature on the Mustang.

I would love to sue Ford for false advertising.

I still have less than 700 miles on my Mustang and I got it in June 2015. I hate looking at the front end, it just makes me so mad I don't even want to drive it.

It is so widespread that someone could make a living fixing them if they could figure out exactly how to do it correctly.

Yeah, at first I thought this was more prevalent in the ecoboost but I was wrong. I bought a GT hood and the fitment was identical. I actually ran out of adjustment on my latch height trying to get the new hood dialed in to the right height (at the center crease). I can add washers to the latch on the hood side but will get too high on the outside corners etc. I'm going to shim the fascia this weekend and call it good.
