I know there's a giant thread showcasing exhaust systems for the ecoboost on here, however it seems like they are all extremely loud. Has anyone come across something that has a deeper tone but is only slightly louder than stock? I'm looking for something a little more mature sounding I suppose.

Thanks

I have the MBRP street and love it. If you want to quieten the cabin sound of any EB then look up how you disable the fake exhaust noise on our car, as it removes a lot of noise from the cabin

I have the Pype street pro touring. No drone. Deep enough sound for what I was looking for.

Has anybody tried the new Cobb dual 2.5"? It sounds good on videos, but I've never heard one in person.

I did alot of experimenting of exhaust on my '16 ecoboost. I was finally pleased with the sound shortly before it was totaled. When I got my '17 i put the same recipe on it and have been pleased with it over the last year. No drone, quiet yet agressive on the inside. Great moderate tone from outside.
1 - Y-pipe
1 - Flowmaster 12512409 in place of resonator
2 - MagnaFlow 11226 Exhaust Muffler
tips of your choice.

which y pipe are you running?
The muffler shop had some generic ones that they make. Should be no difference in Y-pipes....

BTW, I'm mid 50's and did NOT want ricey Honda type sound!

I just posted an sound clip/review in the other thread sound clips, earlier today I attached a Y pipe to my AWE touring axle back exhaust mufflers. I like it. basically a catback now

Ford/Borla touring and resonator delete. Louder than stock but It's not raspy loud. Sounds more like a modded 4L V6 than the 4banger eco. Has some drone between 2000-2300rpm
