I have a 2021 Ecoboost, with Lane Assist and Pre-collision.

I live in a very hot area (Middle East), and as I was driving my car a few weeks back, it suddenly popped up 2 alerts (Front Camera Fault, Service Required) and (Pre-Collision system unavailable).

I scanned the codes in the car, and I got a few codes from the IPMA (Image processing) related to the camera. Listing them :

  • (IPMA) U3000:49 Internal Electronic Failure
  • (IPMA) U3000:44 Data Memory Failure
  • (IPMA) U3000:42 General Memory Failure
I looked forever but it seemed that these issues were only common with the Mach-E, however everyone was mentioning the issue must be "Cables" or the camera is dead. So I got a replacement front Camera, and I installed it.

Part Number : MR3T-19H406-CE which is exactly the same part that already was on the car.

I reset the IPMA, and recalibrated the new Camera, and Viola, the Lane assist is working again, it's catching the lines slower than before, but it's working well. However the pre-collision warning is still there. And I got different codes now.

I'm getting :

  • (IPMA) C1A67:08-6C Forward Looking Sensor - Bus Signal/Message Failures
  • (IPMA) U0405:64-AF Invalid Data Received From Cruise Control Module - Signal Plausibility Failure.
Car does NOT have ADAPTIVE CRUISE. it has normal Cruise and it's working fine.

However the warning keeps showing for Pre-Collision every time I turn the car on.

Any thoughts?

My Ford Transit amyocr did that a few weeks ago. Pull the negative battery cable off for a bit. Put it back next morning. No more issues.
