When someone gets hit by a car I don't think popping the hood by 4 inches is going to do much to help out. Who dreamed up this crazy "safety feature"? I guess they think the popped up hood is going to become a softer place for the guy to smash his head into? LoL :doh:

This is my same thought!! It's a really stupid safety feature. For this, we miss the hood scoops and the strut tower brace on GT.
If they want to provide additional pedestrian protection, they could gave us the pedestrian detection featured in the new EU version Mondeo.

It's pretty sad when cars have to incorporate technology to prevent running over some idiot zombie who steps out in the street while texting! :headbonk:

If I remember correctly this was a demonstration of the Volvo auto braking system. The problem was the car they selected for the demonstration wasn't equipped with the system. :clap2:
