what is your mpg and how do you drive it?

I used to see 30+mpg when cruising on highway on 6th.
now I am seeing at best 24mpg on 6th.

I used to see avg of high 20's for combined driving, mid 20's if I do hard accelerations once in awhile.

Now I am seeing 20-24mpg combined.

Dealers said 20mpg is normal for the ecoboost. I said I used to see >30mpg cursing on highways. Dealer tells me that it was probably because engine computer was "settling in" and 20-22mpg is perfectly normal.

I guess I should prepare for people to tell me to suck it up because "it's a mustang", or comments like, "if you wanted good mileage go buy a prius".

I am seeing 31 on the highway 22 around town. I am sitting at 25.5 average. I've got 2k miles on mine. I would not think low 20 cruising is normal.

There was a what is your MPG thread and the EB MPG wasn't that great. A couple owners were pretty disappointed. It helped convince to get a GT, don't know what I was thinking before, if I want MPG I'll get a mazda3.

Well it's winter so scratch 2-3 mpg off the bat right there. Also how's the traffic in your area?

18 average with 95% city and some highway. I easily get 32 highway at about 60mph.

This is about right, according to the EPA fuel economy ratings.

The Ecoboost Mustang should get around 25 combined with 45% highway, 55% city driving.

People shouldn't expect Honda Civic or VW Golf MPGs with this heavy car and small engine.

The point of the EcoBoost in this car is to have slightly more MPG than the V6 with slightly better performance.

Regarding low 20's on the EcoBoost Mustang: something is wrong, and should get it checked out.

My 2013 BMW 328i MSport with a 240hp Turbo 4 (like EcoBoost) gets 25 MPG average.

I get around 22-23 but I also have 20s on my eb and they're somewhat heavier than the 18s that came with it. Also, remote start doesn't help mpg either, which I use everyday as the northeast winter is giving me frost bite.

After 5,000 miles I consistently see 24-26 on my daily commute. 31 on my few highway trips. Using 93 octane and only spending roughly $35.00 a week. I've got no complaints. Car is still too fast for me. yet to get a ticket but it's bound to happen. It's just to much fun to drive.

17.9. 95% around town. Not disappointed at all. I expect mid 20's combined when I get on my normal driving routine. I've been able to noodle it to 22 around town. Too much fun to drive like a responsible adult though. My only mod is 50th anniversary license plate frames.

My average has been 28 to 28.9, with 98% highway driving, in cold weather, with high winds. On a trip to lunch today, we drove a little over 60 miles, in 17-20 mph head winds, at 75 mph and averaged 28 mpg. Very happy so far.

Winter fuel is mostly to blame, plus it's been very windy the last month or so, so at least in one direction you'll be fighting that.

I've also found the car really punishes you for getting into boost. I can get the average up around 25 for a day or two. But by the end of a tank I tend to end up at 22 give or take. I'm expecting it to improve as it gets more broken in and we lose the winter blend. 1100 miles here.
