Dude, where's my car?

So I ordered the car back in October, delivery date was set for 1/2 but it got delayed a little bit, no worries. Anyways called ford yesterday and they told me the car was delivered to my dealership January 8th at around 11 pm. That's the good news, a few hours ago I went to my dealership to just check out the car on the lot, problem is there's no car. Talked to my salesman he went to the manager and said the car was logged into their system that it was indeed delivered at their dealership at 11 pm on January 8th. Since my dealership is under construction, they have 2 other lots they use to store cars. He told me to check both lots and call him if it's there, went to both lots, bunch of mustangs but not mine. Called him and he said they're not entirely sure what happened to the car, but they'll find. Great, my car is lost somewhere! :frusty:

It actually wouldn't be the worst thing if they sold it to someone else. You'll have leverage to haggle down the price a bit and get some goodies.

I once thought about making a custom order. What's the protection against the car getting sold to the highest bidder and having to start over? Or mysteriously getting 50 miles on it ?

For an update, they told me they didn't sell it. They actually got a DIB Ecoboost, I ordered a DIB GT PP and they thought they accidentally gave the ecoboost owner my GT but that wasn't the case. Car is still MIA though...
