Got in my car after work and all sorts of messages started popping up. Hill start assist not available, ABS not available, driving modes...

I did see where some of the stick on wheel weights came off. I wonder if they damaged an ABS sensor?

Has anyone seen this and what was the solution? I haven’t called the dealer yet.

Thanks, Dan

Well off to the dealer you go! However, do us all a favour and let us know what was wrong. Even though nobody but me chimed in.

could be the abs sensor went bad(most likely), that'll cause all of those messages to pop up. also a bad fuse will cause it (the 1 for the abs).

if you have installed a CAI there's some wires that ground in that area that are for the abs/tcs and that could cause it as well if the wire snapped.

Thanks

I’m dropping it off at the dealer tomorrow so I’ll let you know. Depending on how much time I have tonight, I’ll check on the fuses and maybe the ground wires.

Thanks again, Dan

Will be at the dealer overnight awaiting a part. They said it is a bad wheel speed sensor.

More to come...

Not ready yet. Dealer said they have to take rear hub apart to see what’s broke and then determine if it’s covered under warranty. I didn’t touch the hub so it better be.

Recap of what I did;
Two months ago, installed Ford track handling pack myself.
Took it to the dealer right afterwards for an alignment.
Two months later, put on aftermarket wheels and tires.
Took it to the dealer to check alignment. They fixed the sub frame alignment.
A week later service advancetrac light came on and some functions stopped working.
Took it in yesterday and dealer said a wheel speed sensor needed to be replaced.
Today they said the hub needs to be taken apart and it might not be covered under warranty.

Ugh....

Unless you yanked on the ABS (speed) sensor wire, it wasn't due to your suspension. Tell them to F off and replace it under warranty and stop being a-holes over it. Thanks :)

J. C., still in “tear down mode”.

The dealer got rid of cashiers so now the advisors have to do everything. I can never get them when calling. I’ve literally called throughout the day many times and never got through to service. Twice I got a receptionist who transferred me to the service assistant manager and it went to voicemail. No return calls.

They’ll be pulling the rear hub apart because everything else tests fine. With any luck, they’ll discover that your bearing has a crook seal, causing it to stop sending pulses to the sensor.
Let me guess. Drivers side rear?

Yes, I believe it is driver side rear.

Do you think it will be covered under warranty?

Thanks much, Dan

After one full week, I got my car back yesterday and so far, all is good. The paperwork says they replaced the driver's side rear hub assembly. It was covered under warranty so that was good. I didn't know for sure until I picked it up. There wasn't a $ amount noted but they were telling me that I could be on the hook for $1,000. Needless to say, I was very happy it was covered. The car has only 15,000 miles so I would have bitched up a storm had it not been.

Thanks to all that responded- that's what I love about this forum.
