We've had clients in the past that had & used (made a claim on) track insurance, with satisfaction.
So we have had a lil experience on the claims end, as drag car builders.
Used to be pretty affordable & easy to get coverage on a lizard or s door car, slower that about ~7.50 et.
After seein our own bus/personal premiums upwards on all our own lic & insured vehs in the past ~24 months, I'd be shocked if track coverage is still seen as affordable in 2025. (Yeah, we're slightly bitter over the bill$ on our 1/2 dozens +, insured, turd boilers)
One of the last track insurance companies we dealt w/was a good experience. Paid us on claim to rebuild a customers New Edge Mustang Hot Street car that ran low 8's in the 1/4. Eng builder on that race program paid to repair damage to the the big inch, naturally aspirated SBF.
Got no grief over the estimate to do the repairs. It was tens of thousands of dollars to us alone, plus the eng guy, & then the paint guys got paid as well.
We were satisfied w/ the experience of our customer using track insurance, & got them a few nice updates done along the way w/just a little xtra $$ out of pocket.
Tk a lil sting out of the incident for him, & was happy to get some chassis & aero improvements done. Sometimes you can make chicken salad out of chicken chit with a claim.
Used to be a place out of Florida for yrs that advertised in the Rag & sponsored Mel Eves Pro Mod car, but their name escapes me at moment.
