Downpipe questions

Can you go catless and pass emissions with the tune with a catless downpipe? In Texas you can pass as long as you do not throw check engine light and main o2 isn't in ready mode, but all the rest is ready and they usually don't look under the hood for the cat..

Getting a downpipe is worth it especially since they're not too expensive like headers

I'm not sure of Texas laws and whatnot but you should be able to pass with a tune since Texas is one of the more lenient states, from what I've heard.
