Everyone,

My 2015 drivers door, when shut, sticks out about 1/8 on an inch. It is not bad, but it bothers me, especially when the light shines just right and shows a shadow. Does any know how to pull the door in a bit. There is a rubber plug on the door the covers a bolt. Do you think this could do it? I don't want to take it in to Ford as we all know here more than they do. Any help would be appreciated.

Generally when you have an alignment problem at the rear of the door, your adjustment is going to be at the Striker on the body, at the "B" post. That's a pretty straight forward adjustment. If the problem is at the front most part of the door, that is a hinge adjustment and is a little more complicated and can get messy quickly. I know a lot of the factory hinge placement now are of the "no adjust variety". If it's at the front, let your dealer look at it.

Thanks bump. It is in the rear of the door. I just looked like the striker plate was "fixed" as the holes were not oblong. It must have something on the back of the striker that pinches it. I will loosen it up tomorrow and move it in. Thanks!

Yami,

Mine is the exact opposite of yours. All my other body panels are acceptable to me.

Take your time with that adjustment. Don't loosen both torx bolts completely! Just loosen them slightly, and bump the striker in slightly, little adjustments at a time, in and out, not up and down, until you find the sweet spot of the adjustment. Cars these days have VERY little adjustment allowances due tighter build quality compared to cars of yesteryear.

Does this help
Yes, that helps. I just hate to tell you, most dealers and the factory are going to tell you "Production variances". The door being perfect at the bottom and slightly off at the top is a slight "twist" of the sheet metal alignment, and there is not much you can do about that if the front of the door meets the fender perfectly. The truck and the hood misalignment are much easier to correct with striker/bumper adjustments.
