Just to fill you all in here, don't get upset with where COTUS is saying your vehicle is, because it doesn't have a very good success rate going for it.

I currently had a deposit down on VIN 5314799 but it kept saying awaiting for shipment. Even after talking to Ford Service and all they could tell me was what I was seeing in COTUS, so I figured there was a hold and I would never see this car.

One Saturday VIN 5303237 had shown up, so I went and talked to the dealer and they gave me my Xplan so I made a deal. Ive been driving the car since Saturday, and as you can see it still shows "in transit".

Today the dealer of VIN 5314799 texted me a picture of the car and said "It's here!!", but I unfortunately had to say I already found my car. They were great customer service and would have rather did business with them. But anways I didn't think that car was ever going to show up since it's still "awaiting shipment".

Just thought I'd post these so everyone else that has been waiting since build week of 10/16 could get some hope that their cars will arrive any day now.

Your EDD is probably still 11/16 but will show up a few days early. It's on its way!

I'm not sure why people get so worked up with doomsday stories just because of COTUS.

The EDD on the one that "was never going to show up" is only two days from now. Sounds like Ford was right on track.

Ford service and the dealer, both said it was sitting at the rail yard. No one expected it for another month, but yes Ford is on track with these.

In most modern manufacturing facilities that use the assembly line process (not the limited hand crafted old World manufacturers that have a Bull or prancing Horse as an emblem), be it transportation industry, aerospace, or manufacturing, once an item gets to a particular stage of the assembly process, it's electronic "marker" or status keeps getting fed to its own unique birth "history" automatically and in theory is supposed to follow the item until it reaches the consumer. Unfortunately, the human component is prone to error and after the item passes quality control, certain inputs between the factory, carrier, shipper, and distributor (dealer) sometimes are either omitted, incorrectly administered, or not input at all. Add to that the human factor again (updates to COTUS are by and large a human function) and we have the potential for missing the mark. Along the way, Ford as part of it's efforts to continuously improve on things, and not just the vehicle in question, asks us what went right, what went wrong, and what do you recommend? In other words, when they provide you one of those pesky surveys, by all means take advantage of it. It may not help you immediately but in the final analysis it WILL improve the overall product
