As I mentioned in other threads...my 2015 A6 SD NAV chip has a mapping problem...it will not map lakes...it will map all other expected features.

My dealership says it cannot do anything about it because Ford does not have other reports of this problem and therefore it is not covered by warranty.
So if you are the first person to have a specific problem with your 2015 Mustang...Ford probably will not cover it as a warranty problem. Ford has to have multiple records of a specific problem before Ford will do anything!

1) Took possession of 2015 Mustang EB Premium convertible in early April.
2) Noticed that the provided A6 chip would NOTdisplay ANY lake, at any zoom level! Just a single blue dot with the name labelled.
3) Informed dealership of the problem...dealer took half a dozen of their A6 chips out to various new 2015 Ford Models with MFT NAV. NONE of the A6 chips displayed lakes! They had no idea what was going on.
4) Bought a 2014 A5 SD chip from eBay. The A5 chip MAPPED lakes correctly on my MFT NAV screen!
5) Checked with dealer and was told to contact My-Ford-Touch Office. I called the office, explained the problem and was told that my mapping problem was the first case reported.
6) MFT Office told me to contact HERE/Nokia to find out what was going on.
(HERE was recently purchased by Nokia. I found out that there is no way to contact HERE/Nokia...Phones disconnected. And Nokia will not accept emails of any kind!)
7) 1 July...had meeting with Service Dept at my dealership. They just received another batch of A6 chips! We went out to several new cars, just delivered. NONE of the 'new' A6 chips mapped lakes! Just like the first shipment of two months ago! My A5 chip mapped lakes in ALL of the vehicles. The dealership had absolutely no idea what was going on.
8) Service Dept refused to proceed further!!! They said that since they have not been informed by FORD that there is a potential problem...they could not do anything for me.

9) But they are going to inform FORD about the mapping problem with multiple A6 cards. They thought that FORD 'might' make a decision on what to do by middle to late Fall!

So...if you are the first person to report a problem with your new Mustang, Ford will probably not do anything about it!

I and the dealership have absolutely no idea why all of the A6 chips are having this problem! Multiple Forum members have contacted me stating that their 2015 A6 SD chips are working correctly, displaying lakes.

Unfortunately very true. Just like the cooled seats not cooling the seat back issue. The dealer doesn't "fix" anything. They can replace broken parts but if something is working as new, there's nothing they can do but report the problem to Ford and wait for Ford to fix the problem.

That doesn't mean don't take it to the dealer and file the complaint. It's like when my cable goes out. They want to send a person to my house because nobody else has reported a problem in my area. I seem to always be the first. Then the other complaints start coming in and they realize it is an area issue and fix it immediately instead of waiting a week for my appointment. I'm sure Ford won't fix anything in a week but you get the idea.
