Do you ever start to post either a new topic, or start a new thread, and right in the middle of your post, the curser moves and screws up what you were typing? It moves it to another point in your post, making it all look "garbled". then you have to locate where it screwed up, backspace, and pick it up from there.
This happens to me a lot here. Is it just me? I would like to know if this happens to anyone else.

No sir. not at all. It happens right in the middle of while I am Typing. I do a check on what I typed, and the curser" moved for no reason.
I know what I am doing, so perhaps I am not explaining properly.

BTW. I use a mouse for my laptop. not the pad.

Can still be caused by the touchpad. Things like this used to happen often when I had a laptop, sometimes only your arms resting near the trackpad or some static in the air maybe would cause the trackpad to register a click. I used to have a Macbook that would keep on registering clicks when the screen was down (using secondary display) just from the EMI the circuits would make.

If you are using a mouse, disable the trackpad or at least disable tap to click. That would fix it in my case.

Thanks. I will try that. But I know my hand never touches the pad....It is like the curser has a mind of its own. BTW. I am in a couple of other forums, and this Never happens. That is why I asked in the first place if anyone else is experiencing this problem.

Sometimes my high precision gaming mouses with freak out if they are on a semi rough surface, and the mouse will move on it's own. So if your surface has any bumps, you could look into a smooth mouse pad for laser mice.

Happens to me too sometimes. That along with going to click something and somehow my cursor shoots to the bottom of the screen and opens something I did not want to open. Don't get me started when I am searching for something in a powerpoint, it automatically highlights something and I go to type something and it deletes the highlighted word. Ughhhhhhh!
