Saturday evening on 7th. June Ford Cologne presented 2 prototypes at the European Mustang Convention of the First Mustang Club of Germany 1964-1973 e.V..
1000 Mustangs participated in that event and the cooperation with Ford Germany worked out in a special moderated launch at 6.pm.
Titus Dittmann, Skate-Board guru in Europe, a Mustang racer and owner of 5 Mustangs was engaged to explain the details of the design along with Ford execs.

A quickly slapped together video impression from the event and convertible. Edited version to follow later.

Thanks T5owner............seems Britain will be the last country to see it, at this rate!

We're due to have the car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed later this month, but it seems Ford UK don't want to work with our UK owners club :(

Haha... I'm pretty sure there won't be ANY S550 Mustangs up here before Ford has sold one :p

so Ford is showing the American Mustang over in Europe? Think bc they know the backlash they'd get over the clear tails/huge side mirrors? I think they would want to show the exact car the European Market is going to get

And here is the red coupe EcoBoost, which actually was originally white judging from the shock towers.

Both cars were US spec with red taillights and regular mirrors.

So what did you think?
Well nothing new, I had already seen the car in Geneva, on the Empire State Building and in Charlotte. Still as good looking as ever and still no opportunity to sit behind the wheel. They were still carrying the 'locked for your protection' stickers, although they did open the doors on both cars. I think that was a ballsy move by Ford since opening the doors apparently causes a major public hazard :D

Both cars were US spec btw with red taillights and normal size mirrors.

Which angles do you like when viewing? Especially since you've seen it in person multiple times, I am curious if anything jumped out more in the most recent time from the first time you've seen it. Cool about NYC...I missed that you had done that!

"Locked for your frustration" :frusty: :D
