Discoloration on door panels

Hi,

My 2019 Mustang EcoBoost has some discoloration spots on the door panels (bluish in color). Looks like a flaw in the injected moldings to me. Dealer took pics and sent to Ford. Ford (Canada) said it is not a warranty issue because they think it looks like stress or impact. Thankfully my dealer has offered to take some more pics and ask again, but I am disappointed in Ford's first response. Anyone see this type of discoloration before? If so, have you had replacement panels under warranty? Thanks.

I have a spot like that on the passenger door panel close to the midrange speaker. I thought that something had dripped there from the window or it was a stain. Tried wiping it off with various chemicals and I ended up making it worse.

Curious to know if they will resolve this for you.

If anyone has any ideas on how to DIY a fix I would like to know too.

Those happen when the plastic is stretched, usually at the door panel clip location. Happens when the panel is removed, either by factory, dealership or owner.

There is no clip or anything of the sort on the opposite side where my mark is. I had the door off to do speaker/sound deadening and I checked at that time because that was my thought as well. Nothing there.

Never had my panels off. Going in Monday to have dealer take pics and send to Ford Canada again. Will let folks know what happens next.
