I've gotten a couple quotes for having my rear diffuser dipped/wrapped and curious about the pros and cons of each. I'm leaning towards dip for a couple reasons a.) I like that it has a little texture to it, which I think would match the other black trim, and b.) I would easily be able to touch it up if I need to. The guy at the shop recomended the wrap because he said is more durable and easier to clean. I'm not sure what brand of vinyl they use, but I am working on finding out. Any personal experience regarding the durability of either option would be great.

I'm also going to have them wrap my roof in gloss black while I'm at it.

Plasti-dip is nice, for short term; depends on how long you plan on keeping it this way. I would use the dip to determine if this is the route you want to go if you are unsure and then have the vinyl applied. Don't get me wrong, the plasti-dip will last for a little while but eventually starts to degrade over time- more so than the vinyl will.

I definitely plan to keep the diffuser that way for a long time. I could see maybe getting bored of the black roof at some point, but not the diffuser. Sounds like it'll be worth the extra $50 to get it wrapped.
