I drove to work this morning for the first time since installing my new map lights. I noticed that they don't turn off, appearing to have a residual glow, even after 20-30 minutes of driving post activation.

Is this normal and will they ever shut off?

Thanks

No, mine turn off completely. I take it you're sure the switch is off since you said it was just a residual glow, not on? I would pull the bulbs and ensure the pins are straight and the bulb is positioned straight in the socket. The only thing I can think of is maybe 2 pins are touching?

Try turning them 180 degrees as well.....

Mine turn completely off also. Had them for 6 months never had any issues.

There may be a difference. Did you buy the LEDs for that year? Looking at DD's web site, the bulbs for the 2015 are different.

Yeah, I bought them for my specific year. I have heard of LED glow, but not sure how long that is supposed to last

I still think that's odd. I can understand in an AC application like in a house with an LED bulb. I've never heard of that in a DC application though like in a car. I'd double check it's the correct bulb and the other recommendations. Definitely call Diode Dynamics customer support, they are very good.

I have some aftermarket LED bulbs in installed, not the DD brand, and I don't have that problem whatsoever. No afterglow either. I wanted something brighter than the DD's, I flipped the vanity lights to compare how much brighter white they are.

I noticed my glove box light stays on even when its close. Probably should have that addressed before I leave the car for 4 months.
