Diode Dynamics LED Issue

Hi all,

I have the DD LED switchbacks and when they were first installed. The driver side LED would not light up white but amber would work. I submitted a replacement from them but for some reason the next day my LED started to work..and has worked flawlessly since that first day.

Today, (months later) however, the same LED that gave me trouble during install, its not lighting up white anymore. I parked the car at the mall and when I got back, the LED was white again. And I just left my house a few hours later and the LED is broken again.

I already submitted a RMA from Diode to get a replacement LED but decided to post here to see if anyone might know a solution to this issue so I wouldn't have to wait for them to get to my RMA.

The first time I installed the LED and had trouble, I did the flipping LED trick but it still gave me the same problem, so I'm assuming doing that trick again wont solve this problem.

One of my switchbacks quit working also. Worked fine after install but 30 minutes later the amber LEDs stayed on continuously even when the white LEDs were on. The blinkers or flashers didn't work either. I contacted CJPP and they contacted diode dynamics and the switchback was replaced within two days.

I guess I'll just wait for my replacement LED then

Yeah LED's can act really bizzare when there's an issue with them. One of my DD tail sequencers would act-up and stop working, and then they would work fine for a couple of weeks and then stop again.
l contacted DD and they sent out a new set and they have been fine ever since. One thing with DD is their great customer service, they stand behind their products.
