Has anyone heard from the girls behind [email protected] this week? Appreciate that they will have a mammoth backlog, but just wondering. Am keen to hear if I've got an October build date!

I heard from Karen on Thurs after an email sent to them Weds am,, she is just back and Stacey is still on hols. My order was 24th April and I have a build date of October 3rd, so I think an early May order could make Oct? There seems no pattern but it is a guide for sure

To be honest you will be lucky to hear anything at all from your dealer

How long ago did you order? I don't think I chased up on anything a for the first 3 months, then sent an email to the girls at [email protected] with all the details of my order so I could confirm everything had been entered correctly on Vista by the dealer.

If you read page one of this thread it will give you a idea, Karen and Stacey will be you best bet, when you have a vin then you can track it yourself, hope you enjoy the wait

Out of interest, what was the initial build date you were given and do you know for certain its the 3rd or is this just another estimation?

They have me down for a build Oct 3rd but I imagine it will go back some now...........darn.

Just received an email from Stacey confirming the 3 October build date.
I had an estimated build date of 16 September. Other people who had the same order date as me had their cars built on 5 September. Gutted. Means that the car is going to get here (if nothing else goes wrong) when I am in South Africa on holiday.
Still hoping for a pre-xmas delivery

I had an estimated build date of 16 September. Other people who had the same order date as me had their cars built on 5 September. Gutted. Means that the car is going to get here (if nothing else goes wrong) when I am in South Africa on holiday.

That all seems rather odd, a delay of 3 weeks? I very much doubt whether the plant closed for an entire 3 weeks? It could be they missed out one day and those orders were then re allocated the next available slot? Seems very odd to me, but I would be interested to hear of those Sept build dates that got a Sept build date or are still on track for one.

Plant only closed for a few days. Thank god not the entire 3 weeks. [MENTION=24151]Bronzetooth[/MENTION] had the same order date as me and he's car is awaiting shipment (that was last week). Have not heard anything more from him.

Only reason I can think mine getting built (was actually the 9th Sep according to etis, not the 5th as dealer informed) and yours delayed is due to your being a convertible, not sure why it would make a difference ?!?

And why has it got put back so far? A day or two delay yes, but a month! Really do feel for you mate, good job the factory's in the US or we'd have to send the lads round addle:

I can't believe they are still having these issues a year into RHD production. Ok the temperature they can't help but to then push RHD production back 3 weeks is stupid.

Until you get a blend date on a window sticker I wouldn't believe any other build dates!
