One of the ads I saw. Just love to know if he seeks at anywhere near that price.
Interesting idea, giving your address and telling everyone you are going on holiday  Hopfully the address is just where the car is stored.

He can't be that daft as he's hanging on to the red one. Either that or he's scared of his missus. Smart woman.

Indeed they are. Superior AND more intelligent, which is why there's less videos of them doing stupid things then there are cats :D

Anyway, I seem to have taken this somewhat off topic.

So, back on topic. Yeah, depreciation will be a bitch (like a female dog on Facebook). I reckon the market is about to dry up and values are in the toilet (along with that Facebook cat that likes to drink water out of it).......so I'm happy to take someone's GT off them for £5k. No no, don't thank me :p

Mustang is in the large coupe/convertible segment which means depreciation will be way above average. However the UK has the unique position that it won't be flooded with used foreign cars like the rest of Europe because of your RHD configuration.

In the US you can already buy tons of 1 year old 25K mile EcoBoost Convertible Premiums for $17-18.000 at auction and those are being imported into the European countries on a daily basis, shattering our values. In the UK you don't have that influence.

LOL same here. Well without the cats that is.

Is it me or does it look like there is a car looking through the driver side window?

Despite your impeccable taste in car colour, your choice in pets is abysmal.

Cats rule; dogs drool.

J. Robert Oppenheimer was described as the 'father of the atomic bomb'... Mark Zuckerberg in my opinion is the 'father of social decay' thanks to his media forum... but ranting now and off-topic :headbonk: .

Predicting values, as others have mentioned, on a car so young to our market with high desirability and short supply/long lead times is going to be about as accurate as trying to predict the outcome of the National Lottery, so those who purport to do the same should not be listened to.
.
Facebook can be used for good and bad like everything else. It can help people and it can make people who are lonely get some confidence and chat to and meet who are into the same things as them
I sometimes do work for a charity, which has people who don't have any self confidence or self esteem. for these people social media is a chance to slowly make friends get to know peoples likes and dislikes and maybe even meet up.
Its also very good if you have friends or family overseas, and also you can go off the main page and chat to people.
Social Media is not evil, it can serve to help people, but like a car in the wrong hands it can become a dangerous weapon, people use it in a crazy way, and it can also feed the ego with people becoming obsessed with getting 100s of friends most of whom they don't have a clue who they are
Also the security needs to be ramped up a lot

Valid point, I swore to stay away but I use it to follow VW and Mustang Forums, I watch with interest posts on discount codes for GSF ! And for interest on all things car etc. SO long as you set the bullish^t by morons filter at defcon 1 - then why not.

It may have been one of my older posts about the Mustang on PCP, as I was told £13k after 4 years just under 12 months ago.

To be honest, I really wouldn't worry about it. Everyone needs to remember the Mustang (especially the v8) is a silly car to own. No one buys it for the practicality and certainly not for money saving.

No one knows what it will be worth here in 4 (now 3) years time, therefore it's a safe evaluation for money lenders. I'm hoping that in 3 years time I can sell the car for over the £13k, and keep the profit for myself. By then I'll probably be ready for a new car (maybe a new Mustang, who knows).

If it depreciates lower than that, well then Ford are in trouble and I can't imagine seeing another Mustang over here. Whatever happens though, you buy the car for the love of it. If you worry about how fast it deprecates, then buy a BMW/VW/Audi.

'14MY S197 V8s are still going for between £20-25k. Of course, they have rarity on their sides as there might already be as many S550s in the UK as S197s over the last 11 years!

Whilst my S197 was obviously cheaper to buy, I paid £18k 9 years ago and I'd be disappointed if I didn't get £14k for it now.

Of course, I don't think S550 residuals will be quite as strong as that, but I don't seem them nosediving!
