In addition to Sonic Blue, there's also Performance Blue, which they put on the Fiesta and Focus and a few other vehicles. I saw all three of these colors outside, side-by-side at the dealership the other day. DIB was on an Explorer. It was overcast. Of the three, DIB had the least purple tint to it. Performance Blue had the most. Honestly, I didn't see any purple in the DIB. I wonder if people are confusing it with Performance Blue.

Idk why people think a purple tint is a bad thing - I wish there was a purple available for this car - not like plum crazy, but a classy one like porsche's amethyst or one of the many purples on bmw's. Or something blue with a hint of red to make it a little more royal...

I actually like the fact that the purple comes across in some of Ford's blues... I wish they had a purple too, BMW has a nice dark purple that I think would look great on the S550

No. Original Grabber colors started on the Maverick in 71 or 72. Blue, green, orange, red as I recall. The recent Grabber Blue is right on the original.

Grabber Blue from Seventy Two

Reason I ask, is because of this, supposedly 1972, color chart on the net.

Believe that car is Medium Blue Poly. I also think the picture is dark.

It's closer for Grabber Blue but some others, like Bright Lime, are not right. Really had to do this on a computer screen!

This is what I remember. Looks like a photo from an ad brochure.
