This video is a case study of why the black wheels blow.
I Agree 100%! They Look Horrible. Might as well be riding around on a set of Steelies without Hubcaps. :tsk:

So I'm bouncing back and forth between a DIB GT Prem Auto 20" wheels or a Race Red GT Prem Performance Pack. The ONLY issue I have with DIB is how the contrast between the blue and the black trim doesn't...pop (for lack of a better word). The black trim seems to blend in with the blue. The best example is the rear diffuser, being low on the car, lots of shadows, the contrast just isn't there. Can anyone who has seen DIB in person maybe ease my mind a bit about this issue, do the two colors blend together as bad in person as in pictures? I realize lighting, etc has some to do with it but it isn't the case on the lighter colors (white, yellow and race red in particular). I love DIB but I also love how the main body color and the black trim play off each other like race red. Thanks for any thoughts.
I agree. Thats why LE Kona Blue with chrome lining stands out.

I prefer the contrast myself. It adds more visual appeal and excitment in my opinion. The Black Trim will all but completely disappear on Deep Impact Blue.

We got a Kona blue car back in 2010, wish the DIB was out at that time. May have to jump on the DIB this time around...

My 2014 is DIB. If i wasn't getting the Kona Blue LE the 2015 DIB would be my choice. It's a great color

I saw one st the Pittsburgh Auto Show...think it was the Barrett Jackson car, but it looked fine under the show room lights. The black accents do make the car look sleeker...same effect as comparing a 2012 with a 2013. My suggestion would be to find a 2010-2012 Kona Blue on a used lot for comparison and see what you think in person.

...but yeah, silver and white look sooooooooooo good with black accents and I'm going through the same problem. I want DIB...but silver really seems to be this car's color and white with black stripes would be essily the best way to go overall.

I was between silver and DIB because of the contrast I was leaning towards silver. I liked DIB because of the color and there will be more silver cars on the road. When you see "spotted" photos of the silver compared to the DIB, DIB just looked better to me in the streets. Silver looks great in their "ADS" not in the street.

EDIT: I Won't lie though if I was able to get the black rims on the silver car I would've probably went that route, but I have an automatic and that wasn't an option. I opted for DIB with the 20 inch wheels.
