Will I be able to get my $500 dealer trade deposit back?
Some back story. I put $500 down on June 12th for a white automatic ecoboost premium with floormats, security package, reverse sensor, spoiler delelte and black leather seats. Most importantly it qualified for the $500 aged inventory rebate.
They contacted me on June 19th saying they couldn't get the one I originally wanted but they found an 'identical one except it has a spoiler.' I kind of wanted a spoiler delete but didn't think it was big deal so I told them to go ahead and get it.
Fast forward to yesterday the 23rd; I asked for the VIN because my bank needs it for financing. I got curious and looked up the window sticker using the VIN and the 2nd car is not identical. For one it has ceramic seats and it doesn't have floor mats, both I could deal with but it doesn't qualify for the $500 aged inventory rebate.
I have a copy of a buyers order with the price on it but it has the original cars VIN.
If they don't offer the same price they did for the first one can I get my $500 deposit back or am I shit out of luck?
Thanks guys.
