Just posting up a thread about our experience with Michael Pentecost from Clancy's.
I had dealt with Michael previously when he co owned Hills Mustang in Sydney, purchasing parts for my '65 Coupe resto - always good straight up service/excellent prices/delivery as we live in Coffs Harbour.
I bought my wife a new Focus Titanium in 2013 from the local dealer in Coffs and when she decided that a new Eco vert was what she wanted, I spoke to Mike.
We ordered in Oct 2014 and prepared for an 18 month wait, Mike would either call or email with a time update and around August '15 he said that it would be about late Jan 2016.
We were order number 6 on his books, he was expecting two cars per month starting in Nov 2015.
I hadn't received any email or phone communications from Ford, most of the tracking you guys are doing now hadn't been figured out yet - I read on another site about a guy who was tracking his ship and when I was told in Oct 2015 that the car was built and being loaded the following week, I contacted Ford, got the vin & started to track it.
It arrived at Port Kembla on 18/12 and Michael rang to tell us it was ready to pick up on the 29/12, unfortunately we had a house full of xmas rellies so we organised to pick it up on Monday 4/1.
As we were driving down to Bathurst the previous day, Michael paid for a night, dinner at Rydges and we picked up the car next day - it was his 2nd dealer delivery (due to issues with GT's Eco's were coming through first).
Unveiling, balloons, flowers, full tank of juice - the whole bit and we were on our way (boss was very happy).
Ordered the plates to be stored at Bathurst RMS so they could be picked up and put on the car.
800 klm drive home - couple of stone chips, he offered to organise someone local to have them touched up.
He has since looked after us $$ wise with a spare wheel kit and the TSW Bathurst Wheels.
He always returns calls - and nothing is a problem, price wise dealer delivery was $995 plus we got a good trade in for the Focus.
If you live out of town he will either have it delivered to you or put you up as we were.
Couldn't recommend him highly enough.

Cheers

Good to hear they have improved, bought 2 Rangers from them over the years and they were the biggest pack of incompetents I have ever dealt with :headbonk:

I have dealt with them and they were great - Michael particularly. Helped heaps when my 80yo+ dad ordered his Stang!! Recommend them.

I did a bit of shopping around and have ordered my Mustang from Clancy's Bathurst. I had a good chat with one of the young salesman, Arron who was very helpful and gave me a great price, which was much less than I could find in Sydney. I popped into Clancy Motors the other day and met Arron for the first time, he spent about an hour with me discussing options, showing me the 8 Mustangs they had there at the time (most of which were Ecoboosts). He then showed me the boss Michael's Ingot Silver GT which had a Roush pack on it, I must say it looked great and when he fired it up with the Roush Quad Tip exhaust sounded fantastic.

In short Arron was very helpful and the experience I have had so far with Clancy's is much better than the dealings I have had over the years with any dealers in Sydney.

If you are in Sydney and are thinking about a Mustang it is worth giving Arron at Clancy's a call.

I've only heard good things about them and their pricing - in particular the realistic dealer delivery charge.

Just curious but did you try Hammo at Sinclair Ford in Penrith at all? If so how did you go?

Yes, I did speak with Sinclair Ford. I don't remember the name of the salesman, but their quote was just over $1300 more expensive than Clancy's.
