Maybe the F770 doesn't have one. The base sticks to the windscreen so you can detach the whole camera if you want. I've looked at it now and it's only about 5-6mm thick. What do you mean by base?

No it did not come with it I believe, but the company I ordered it from, is sending one free of charge! :cheers:Review of the F770 by a DashCamTalk user - plenty of pics:

@2-STANG - can you confirm that the rear camera cable comes with the 90-degree connector to the main unit as mentioned by this reviewer?
How much did it cost here in AU just out of curiosity?Hopefully arranging the 770 to be installed next week if the supplier gets them in
Sounds reasonable to me.He said around $700-$800 installed.
Its all personal preference mate. Some guys on here have the Blackvue and love them, others are Team Thinkware. I've looked at both and for me the 770 is just better suited to my tastes and the video quality of the 770 looks fantastic. I saw one in the flesh today and it would be no bigger than a pack of playing cardsSounds reasonable to me.
I've been considering a Blackvue 650 2CH, and have been quoted a similar price for installation.
My car arrives mid Sep - should I think about the Thinkware?
Are they available in Aus yet? I'll check it outIts all personal preference mate. Some guys on here have the Blackvue and love them, others are Team Thinkware. Yeah a couple of places here in Sydney either have stock or are receiving this weekAre they available in Aus yet? I'll check it out
I see what you did there.should I think about the Thinkware?
As far as I am aware, they share the exact same rear cam, and hardwire kitDoes the F750 share the same connections as the F770? Just wondering come upgrade time whether I'll be able to keep the cabling I've already installed (rear cam connection & hardwire)

You sure the rear cam from the F750 is compatible with 770? Recall reading somewhere that it is not. So if you want front/rear, we'd have to get both cams.As far as I am aware, they share the exact same rear cam, and hardwire kit
The only difference is, the cable for the rear cam is an angled one instead of straight to fit better cosmetically to the front cam. So pretty much if you want to upgrade, all you need is the front cam
Yup, it was confirmed by BlackBoxmycar that it is compatible. I initially was skeptical about it aswell until they confirmed. Also if you check the model number in the photo I posted, it is the same as the rear cam in the f750As far as installation, it would cost about $15 in fusetaps (2) and 2 micro2 fuses. Takes about 20 - 30 minutes all up and just a small set of pliers to get the factory fuse out.
