I'm in US and want to say this was a supremely helpful thread.
I tested and confirmed the fuses @capriceragtop recommended were perfect. 10a fuses tapped with micro 2.
No issues and running cabling was pretty easy.
I installed the new Viofo A229 duo with USB-C hardwire kit. Not as inconspicuous as I had hoped, but I reckon that's not the point of it. Not visible from my driving position, so, overall, very happy.
Helpful hint (not that this happened to me): turn on camera and dry fit to make sure image is not obscured by the huge box if you have the safe & secure package. Otherwise you'll have to remove the adhesive from the windshield and start over. Not fun - again, not that it happened to me haha.
