Dash Vents - easily replaceable?

So I've been using a cheap phone mount that clips to one of my dash vents (center by gauges). Had a better one before but it stopped gripping as well.

Anyways...short of the story is that the cheap mount scratched up the plastic vent. That's what I get for using a cheap part.

So my question is, are the vent's orderable as a separate part? And how easy is it to replace? Do they pop in and out easily or do I have to tear down the entire dash to replace it?

the dash panel comes off with a screw near the glove box by the door, and a handful of clips.

They sometimes break, so you might need some clips to put it back on, but you might get lucky too.

Once the panel is off, the dash vents snap out.

Im not sure if you can buy them or not seperately, but you should be able to look them up on levitt or tasca parts website

Thanks for the part #...was having problems finding it. Instructions make it look pretty easy/quick to replace.

I have to go for an oil change on Saturday so I'll compare the price from the dealer for shits and giggles.

Yeah...but mixing the polished ring with brushed vents? That wouldn't bug you?

Yes, there is some red ones. I don t know if somewhere other color or finish exist ?

May be you can have them painted

I had an air freshener melt plastic in my Charger, and the company who makes the air freshener sent me a check to cover the repairs. Might be worth looking into. I had to send them a picture of the damage, the air freshener, and the VIN plate on the door of my car.

That happened to me as well. Hopefully they don't ask for a receipt cause the one time I didn't use a digital receipt option is when I bought my air freshener but I do remember the exact one. The 2 pictures is where the air freshener damaged the console/vent

Easy peasy. If you still have the offending air freshener that is... Contact the company, tell them their product melted the plastic on your car, and while you wait to hear back, go ahead and get a price on the new part from the dealership. (You can expect a check for that amount.) They'll either offer to split the cost of repairing it at the dealership, or pay you for the part. They didn't ask me for my receipt, just where I bought it, and a picture of the air freshener.

Those air fresheners are rough. I just had to replace my headlight control assembly, it could have been worse. I'm just glad it wasn't on the center vent leaking onto my Sync 3.

I tried to look up the company, I couldn't find them online, I could probably go get the info off a new one at Pep Boys, but I already ordered the part and installed it a few weeks ago. Cost like $45, I guess I might still be able to get the money.

I got it direct from the dealership. Part# FR3Z-19893-AE

Cost me $25.12 after a discount i was given. List is $37.68.
