Looking for someone in the Dallas area that can paint calipers for my GT. I would try it myself, but I've never painted calipers, and I really don't wanna screw anything up. Any suggestions?

New member but been around for awhile, aslo interested in getting my calipers painted. How much did it cost and how long did it take. Been looking at the covers and not really impressed with them for $200. If anyone has experience with them then I would like to hear.

Remove your calipers as if you were replacing rotors and pads. Use blue painters tape to tape off the inside piston area. Pick up some high temp rustoleum rattle can paint. Go to town.

Shouldn't be too hard.

Find yourself a good powder coater in your area and get it done right.
I used Tiradocc out of San Antonio.

Why would you go to the trouble and cost of powdercoating?

They're brake calipers.. It's not like you need a perfect finish. Prep them correctly and put enough coats on and and they won't chip. Or if they do, redo them in a few years. They don't even see much debris behind the wheels.

There's a billion threads on taking a rattle can to your calipers:

Quality of course.
You can't get these results out of a rattle can.

Fair enough. The candy red looks very nice . Quality work.
If you're going for perfection or show, I can totally see that.

For less than perfect, the juice doesn't seem worth the squeeze. That level of efforts demands to be seen! Calipers give a hint of color behind the wheels, I would personally rather put that money to painting other items / vinyl roof wrap / go fast parts.

BUMP. Anyone else have any shops or prices? I just got quoted $600 and 3 days in Arlington. Wasn't wanting to spend that much...
