My cooling is working on the back, but just the upper part at the shoulder heigth. Nothing on the middle part.

If the rear part of the seat gets hot while cooling, it's definitely an error. Look at this TSB, it should fix the heat through a longer intake tube that extends below the seat.

yeah this is the correct TSB, but even who have this fix bothers about lack of cooling.
It's poor design, so it's very hard to fix without redesigning the entire seat + cooling system.

Anyone know the chassis range for that TSB?

My Recaro's are so cool they don't need a cooling system

going back and knowing how crappy is the cooling feature, I would probably choose the recaro too.

Actually i think they cool pretty good. Much cooler than on my A6 (which also has the cooled seats). I guess thats an american thing with more power..

I would have chosen the Recaros, except I cant stand having blank buttons on the dash board... it looks so wrong (to me) having the empty buttons there... plus as a daily drive the bum warmers will come in useful during the winter.

Yeah I was also worried about the blind buttons, but I really never notice it in reality.

I do miss the seat heating every now and then, but usually only for one or two minutes. Luckily I have a garage.

In the end I preferred the fit of the Recaros which you feel every second you drive over the comfort of seat heating which you only miss maybe 1% of the time.

more concerned about seat heating than cooling - but you fellas must be short as far as I can see there is not supposed to be any cooling on the shoulder (i.e. upper) part of the seat...

don't understand how papinist can get away with washing the car "a couple of weeks ago"... it takes appx 2 days for mine to "gunk" up again :(

yes they are supposed to cool the upper back also - sure, not the shoulder of a 180cm man :) but if you read the US thread about that, they have dismantled the seat and look at how the systyem was supposed to work.

About washing, I waited until rainy days were over and after washing we had always sunny days :)

As anyone here asked their garage if know of both the problem and TSB? A lot of people have taken the premium pack so there should be some feedback on this?
