OK, I was only surprised because audiosystem from Sony (also with a subwoofer) in a new Mondeo is quiet

Do you guys listen to DAB sometimes? It is better than FM, but I can't stand such a low DAB bitrate here in Czech republic. When I was in USA I was listening to SiriusXM - far better than DAB.

Yea, the radio stations have a lot of publicity and that's make me crazy .. Also, they play the same musics 5 times in one hour of a playlist. So, I never use the radio but always my own music from the USB stick

I'm listening to Spotify mostly, quality at 320kbps is pretty decent and I also use built-in equaliser from Spotify. It sounds better than stand. eq in Shaker's audio while listening from USB.

Ya Sirius is great sadly only for US, Canada and part of Mexico, I rarely use DAB as I am always listening to my CDs. Nonetheless the feature is not that bad, the only annoying part is when you have cuts in the connection (even on open road).

I use DAB, as the reception is better in most places I go. Most of the time I listen to the mp3s on the miniature 8GB USB stick I have plugged in all the time. Looks like a small cap and keeps dust and stuff out of the USB port next to the lighter.

I like the old school feel , plus CD quality is better than mp3 for me as a guitarist that is top criteria

Same here, I haven't even set any FM or DAB presets and I really couldn't care less either. I have 2 128GB USB sticks plugged in permanently so I have all the music I'll ever need and all I have to do is tell the Sync girl what I wanna hear.

Btw, has anyone ever tried playing a .wav file from USB? That way you get the full CD quality without the hassle of CD's.

I do hope you folks realize that modern audio formats and codecs can give you audio that is superior to CD right? Biggest issue I see is producers tweaking the sound to sound "great" on shitty equipment - which makes it sound pretty shitty on great equipment :(

Am I the only one then who only used DAB since I got the car and not even tried a USB stick yet?
Maybe because we have a great radio station on DAB in Belgium?
