So, we bought a black emblem for the front grill, and anyone who has replaced these emblems knows you basically are forced to break the tabs that hold the chrome one on. So, now I have this chrome emblem with broken tabs, and I got to thinking.

I cut the tabs down further with my Dremel so it will sit flush against a flat surface. We bought some Grabber Blue Metallic paint from Ebay and I already had a can of 1k clear coat from previous projects. I scuffed up the emblem, hit it with some plastic adhesion promoter, 4 medium coats of color, 3 coats of clear and ended up with this...

The idea being we will put this one in the back to replace the chrome emblem back there. I've got some 3m "Super Strength Molding Tape" that I can adhere it with. The paint came out good, but it's not perfect. I could have gone in and sanded the little nibs that popped up between color coats, but they aren't noticeable from more than a foot away. The camera really made them stand out more than they do.
