Looks great!
What are the dimensions of that core? trying to figure out the cfm. You can never have to big of an intercooler. If this dont work the one in the background should.

And for unshrouding the core I installed the watson front tube crash bar. it should help but not data yet.

.
24x12x4.5 is the core size. Not much bigger than the Vortech really but just a better core in general. Im not running a crash bar at the moment but Tig vision makes a really good one for our cars. Im working on a shroud for the dead space behind the bumper without cutting. Ill post pics later this week as it should be done.

Is that -20* iat at the top of a 3rd or 4th gear pull? If so, then that's a real nice improvement. Also that loose header flange is going to be the culprit behind the knock.
Yes that was at the top of 4th. I did a 40-145 pull.

Ok well here is the final cut. Im seeing almost a 15 degree drop on a true 15-15.4psi. Its just so hot down here!!! Im happy with it. As you can see here is my idea/design to get air to the dead space behind the bumper. It might look fugly to some but its functional and gets a ton of air back there after testing with a dyno fan.

i think vortech claims more like 900hp, it's def a nice intercooler for the cost of the setup.

at 14psi, should still work pretty well, up through a jt at 18-20lbs we still seemed to have iats not too bad in our 2011 car, we would see 140-150 or so

once we went to the ysi on the 2011 car, we started pushing over 200

we did the same thing, custom intercooler, and iats dropped a ton, that was with a car going 8.7s

i actually took the intercooler off our 2011 car when i went air water / full race, and refabbed for the 2015 car.

works great at 1150 wheel and 8.7 ets!

140-150 on 18-20psi up north in cooler air sounds about right. Me down here in Florida in the dead of summer im seeing 170 on 15 psi from the JTB. Come winter time down here with this new i intercooler i should be down in the 120-130's.
