"For Years" I know what you mean.. Except, it seems a bit unfair to those who've waiting so much longer. I'm just wanting it in the month of December.. I'll be happy. I don't understand how Ford will build a car ordered two weeks later than mine though..
I ordered on 5/21 and just got my VIN on 10/23 with a 11/24 build date. It all comes down to dealer allocations, priority, parts availability, constraints, etc. this topic has been discussed a hundred times on this forum. Search and you will find enough info to keep you busy for days :D

I just read your dates now, and no offence, but WTF lol You ordered yours on the 17th and it's already in production????? That's the fastest i've ever seen..

Mine is still in order processing so I only have a VIN... My dealer told me the build date. How is your build date already here and mine is second week of December if I ordered two weeks before? lol
11/13 according to COTUS, but I technically put my order on 11/8 at the dealership. I deleted the spoiler after ordering, so it probably says that date, but the order was originally really placed 11/8.

It was quicker than expected yes. As above, depends on dealer allocation and what options were ordered.

Has to be dealer allocation, as we have literally the same car being produced except manual instead of auto haha

Must be. But you live closer to MI (by a few days by rail) so delivery will likely be around the same time at the end of the day.

Do you think the factory closing for Christmas will effect our cars in transit? Like will it still ship and stuff, or will the shipping stop as well? I know it's only the plants closing, but I wonder if our cars will still ship since it'll be built already.

No clue, wondering this too. I assume shipping only stops/slows Christmas day and that's about it; maybe not at all.

I think the cars will be shipped before Christmas. They only take 2-3 days once in production hits. The question is how long, if any, will the holdup be by Ford before being in transit.

As long as they have left Ford's possession (which I think they will well before Christmas) then I dont see the plant stoppage for a week effecting our cars at all. I think most of the time is shipping, I have seen other threads where the trains move slowly as they stop at different towns dropping off freight. Ford even says 12-28 days for transit, so with mid-Jan delivery dates, the cars would likely ship out before the Christmas shutdown.

Ordered: 10/30
VIN: 11/7
In production: 11/22
Dealer says my build week is 12/1 and will get delivery by 12/15
BUT Cotus is telling my EDD is 1/8/15
Blend date on window sticker is 1/12/2014
So, at this point, I'm trying to stay calm...I just want my car NOW :)

I wouldn't trust your dealer's estimate too much. It is very very doubtful to have a 12/1 build week and delivery 12-14 days after; unless you live in Michigan by the plant. The EDD is probably more accurate- early to mid-January.

It can't be a 12/1 build week and 1/12 (I assume you meant 15 not 14) blend date. The blend date is the build date. A 12/1 blend should look like 120141201 at the top of the window sticker.

My car is scheduled to build 12/8 and I live in Virignia (Very Close to Michigan). Think I have a chance at a late December shipping arrival?

I have a build date of 12/1 in production status on COTUS and my dealer still swears the car will arrive around 12/13. I am located in South Central Pennsylvania.

My dealer told me that I have a build date of 12/8. I was just wondering if anything has shown up on cotus for you.

Shipping times will have a lot to do with method of shipping, whether that carrier takes holiday days and how many, if your car is delayed for extra inspections by Ford before shipping, etc.

Anything is possible really.

Agreed. Too many variables to account for.
