Hi folks I am having some rear suspension noises . Its most noticeable traveling at slow speed say the like of speed bumps you can really hear it . Sounds best describe as getting out of an old creaky bed or sound an old door opening would make . I have had the car up on lift and nothing obvious . I have greased new sway bars during previous install and rechecked all nuts and bolts that where off while doing suspension install. Any ideas ?

Thanks

Any old shite.
Sounds like a dry balljoint to me, was it a wheel free ramp or a four post one?
If you can get it on a four post one so it's on its wheels and get a couple of helpers to pull down on it while you play hunt the noise you might find it.

Yes my lift is a wheel free I will take it up to my friends four post tomorrow . We have tried bouncing the car up and down by opening the boot but cant hear the noise though . Its like the slower you drive over a bump the better you hear it.

My Saab made noises like that, particularly when cold going over speed bumps. The noise would disappear in summer. Was told it was suspension or anti roll bar bushes. Not a problem as such, just noisy. Was also told that replacement might only cure it temporarily.

So stock vertical links? If so creaking must be caused by one of the suspension parts you added, did you tighten everything with the car on the ground at ride height? Or otherwise known as clocking the bushes, only possible with a ramp mind you.

Also were the rear springs mounted correct, if so get a can of WD40 and spray it at one part at a time liberally and drive, when the creak stop you found your culprit, could be anti-roll bar bushes and an easy place to start.

Hi yes stock vertical links I also did clock the bushings after installs . Springs are seated and installed correctly I will try the WD and look into the sway bar and let you know how I get on .

Thanks
