I am putting in a whipple in a couple of weeks and I was wondering if it is necessary to have a crankcase breather with it.

Which one do you recommend?
Any brand will work fine when it's just venting to atmosphere. I run both valve covers to a remote catch can with a breather filter on top. Just empty the can once a month or so depending on how often you drive it.

It's a good idea to add a crankcase breather on boosted setups. I have the UPR crank case breather on my car. A vented catch can would be good to look into aswell.
