Need a little more info or a pic. You ran it over....do you mean it cracked the rim like it was being split in two or cracked it at the hub? I mean you should test it out. If the impact was enough to compress the tire (what thickness tire?) into the rim and crack the rim, it likely did some damage, and if the split was bad enough may have pushed part of the tire into the sharp edges of the crack, damaging its integrity. I'd be taking it to a professional to get the tire inspected before trying it, especially if it's going to be used at the track. You don't want a blowout.

the crack is in the middle of the wheel, not the hub the wall size of the tire is 35, am thinking that if it went right thru the tire and cracked the rim it might of damaged the steel belting, what u think

Once you replace the wheel you can inspect the tire for damage

In my experience if the tire is damaged it's going to bulge. You're going to see and feel it. If you have no split, no area where the tire is separating from the belt and you're not feeling anything while rolling down the street the tire is probably fine.

What kind of tire is it? Once you get the tire separated from the rim I'd love to see a picture of the damage.
