Hey guys,

Looking to reduce my IATs on my 17 Phase 1. They run in the 140s and pulls timing bad. Looking for an option for heat exchanger like VMP triple pass. Are there other options for exchanger? Not interested in trunk ice tanks or the like. Daily driver. K.I.S.S. I'm also interested in options for replacing the 2 plastic reservoir tanks. I'm in Florida so trying to not buy direct from VMP to save on tax if I get their heat exchanger.

Thanks,
David

The whipple heat exchanger is supposed to be badass, and if you don't want a trunk mount ice tank watson racing makes one to go where your battery is but you will need to relocate your battery to the trunk

There are 2. IAT1 and IAT2. One pre and 1 post. pre reads 110 and post is 144. It starts pulling timing around 125 degrees.

What are your ambient temps? Might be easier to reduce your IAT1s which will, in turn, reduce your IAT2s.

Get the VMP triple pass with dual fans... money well spent.. If you are playing on the interstate you will never get heat soak.. Your IAT's will go up if you are sitting still.. will go down quick when you start moving..

Pulls timing at 125? Is that on the Roush tune? Shit, I'm always over 130 on IAT no matter what temp it is outside. I've seen them at 155 once it's heat soaked.

That's because they have puny single pass non fan cooled heat exchangers. The VMP nearly doubled the coolant volume so ice been told.
