What type of coolant does the GT have from the factory? Motor craft orange? I was confused as to whether it was red or orange.

No one ever answered this so for future reference, it's Motorcraft orange. Specification WSS-M97B44-D2 and part number VC-3DIL-B for US, Mexico, and Canada.

OT but did anyone see the EU post about a shipment of Mustangs being held up for many months when they were shipped with US coolant and couldn't be sold because that required Ford to replace a bunch of parts in the car that were on back order?!?

If parts can be ruined by coolant, makes me worry if Ford can put the wrong coolant in for export cars, they could just as easily put export parts in domestic Mustangs and be ticking time bombs.

I guess some law may have forced Ford to replace EU parts because they touched US coolant even if it didn't do any damage to the parts, but that seems ridiculous even by government standards.

Or maybe the person posting about that is wrong.

Could be government regs in other countries. US coolant may have banned chemicals in it. It's like GMO's, HFCS fed to us here, basically illegal everywhere else ;)
