A friend at work (also a 6g member) with a DIB PP let me know that he parked next to me today, so I snapped a few pics. Good contrast of the PP vs. 50th wheels, and the fastback vs. convertible profile with both top up and down. Both fantastic cars if you ask me! :)

Nice pics thanks for sharing. Have to admit I have a thing for the fastback lines but the convertible looks better than a lot of other soft tops

Great pics. :)

I'm glad the designers didn't try to emulate the fastback design with the convertible top. (Even though it would have looked sleeker).

The 2016 Camaro convertible's top is sleekly slanted to look like a fastback but you can tell that a lot of headroom has been lost. I'll take losing the fastback look for more headroom when the top is up.

I never been a convertible guy. But I do understand the attraction.

Totally agree with you there, the headroom in the back is very acceptable and that was a breaking point for me.

The convertible looks nice with the top up, but not as nice as the fastback in my opinion. With the top down, the Convertible becomes a fantastic beast. Also driving the convertible opens up an experience that goes beyond the fastback, one of the main draws for me.

But if Jimmy checks in here I am sure he will remind us that we are close to death in the Vert... :)

:amen:

So true!

Plus, in the convertible you can hear that glorious V8 rumble in a way you simply can't in a coupé with the windows down. :clap2:

is it flush? It just seems out of place but I know some states require it... I wonder if removing it would leave holes in the trunk?

Yes, it is flush and integrated into the trunk lid. Would not be a simple removal process. Does not bother me, so it will just stay there for now.
