I would also presume the process would be a little easier for the 2017 models, simply because some brain-dead sales staff have surely heard of the GT350s by now and know if they have allocations or not.

I did not have good results with e-mail contact. The response was hit or miss for me. Taking the time to call and speak to someone was the better route simply because I could keep them on the phone long enough for them to determine from their sales managers or GMs what their status was on the GT350 program.

One thing that was extremely helpful to me was to keep a log of conversations. I made a spreadsheet of dealer name, number, contact person, latest contact date, and notes of the conversation. I also kept a "score" between 1-10 on which I could sort the data. I would simply rank each dealer based on the current status, where 10s were dealers that didn't have an allocation (or wanted ridiculous ADMs), and 1 being the best deal offered thus far. In my search, there were several that I needed to contact more than once to get a firm answer. I also believe this is how I was able to get a great deal among all the craptastic ADMs out there.

Good luck with your search!

This is the best advise yet IMO, however I would add to just ask for a saleman, any saleman. The reasoning is if you get a green horn, he may be just dumb enough (in a good way) to ask a manager questions. Plus most of the time when a dealer has 3 or more GT350's the staff as a whole knows about it and are most likely in competition to see who sales them. So I would just ask for "anyone in new car sales" when you call

I DID IT!!!!

Yesterday, I started this thread asking you guys about contacting dealerships for deals on 2017 GT350s. A lot of people suggested emailing the dealerships. So, that's what I did. I emailed about 12 dealers last night to test the water. I attn the email to the sales managers. Today, I got responses from 8 dealersships. Out of that eight, two didn't have any allocations, four said they can order me one but would not confirm that they have an allocation, and 2 said that they have allocations and is ready to put in the order on a 2017 non-r GT350.

I couldn't believe it! I had stumbled onto a dealership that is local and would let me order the gt350 for MSRP. I didn't waste any time. I went into the dealership and put down my deposit. I was prepared to pay some ADM, so this was a surprise.

So, some of you might be asking "what about the other allocation?" That allocation is still available and the sales manager wanted to put in the order today lol but I asked if he could give me one day to decide. However, this allocation has a ADM of $4000 over MSRP. I can't post this in the other "msrp or less" thread so I'll post it here. I anyone is interested in a 2017 GT350 allocation with 4K over sticker, please PM me and I'll give you the dealership's contact.

Again, thanks everyone for the help.
