Considering 2018 at dealer, some questions

Looking at 2018 GT350 at Ford dealer in Moncks Corner, S.C. Berkeley Ford. Story is Ford bought it back at 400 miles from buyer and replaced the engine and stripe. Dealer is selling it as a new warranty though used and Ford holds the title. If it doesn't sell it goes back to Ford. Take a look. $53,895 probably get it for less but does any of this raise a red flag even with full warranty ?
I was looking at a 2018 Roush Jackhammer for 58,500
Would appreciate your thoughts on both.

I considered the Roush cars.. I believe they are hard to value second hand due to the the model not being available in Blackbook. From a value perspective, I think your better off with the 350...

Seems like most 18 350's under 2k miles are in the $54-$56 band and maybe more from private seller with full wrap / ceramic.. Its all personal preference and what your looking for.. If it's in the condition / color / etc.. go for it. Or, try one of the left over 18's.. depending on the dealer.. looks like some decent discounts..

For that price, I'd be looking at new leftover 2018's with lower mileage and original engines. Cargurus has quite few new 2018 options in that price range. Give or take $1000.

Wow $52,000 is a crazy deal. Almost sounds too good to be true... probably try adding on that $3,000 "tint and floor mat" special

Looks like they finally sold it. I had been watching that car for over a month. That was the lowest priced leftover I had seen, 52k

We just got one at that price as well and the dealership honored the price from another dealership that was further away from us. They told me as long as it was the same car/ options they would not be undersold. They were asking 56700 and dropped it to 54920 for us. It never left the showroom since they had it! Good deals out there now.

If the car otherwise has the color and seat option you want, wouldn't worry about the new engine provided you take it for a spin and no CELs show up from botched installation. Sadly for the car's reputation but not for functionality, quite a few people driving GT350s with replaced engines and no problems. But you are in a good negotiating position so take in the lowest price you can find and demand matching and I agree with the 100K warranty if possible. Interesting it only has 400 miles. Not an oil consumption problem as that doesn't seem like enough miles for that to show up. 18s shouldn't have had oil cooler line problems. That engine must have been toast from the get go.
