If you haven't tried it yet, you can connect the car to the internet and create a WiFi hotspot for up to 4 devices.
You can connect Sync to an existing wireless network, like the network in your home, or via a hotspot provided by your phone. You can also connect it to the 'net via a USB cellular broadband key, and via Bluetooth PAN (Personal Area Network). I think the Bluetooth PAN option will be most useful, at least for people whose phone cannot function as a WiFi hotspot. I can't figure out how to connect that way though.
