Conical or shank wheels for NA car

So I have been talked into 17" DRs for my NA 2018 A10

Saw some posts regarding the drag stars being a bit of a pain with the slightly larger studs on 18 so was looking at the VMS weld knockoffs. They use a conical lugnut.

Any resevations out there ? Pros/cons?

I will be swapping them out every Friday so don't want to fight the wheels.

shank are a pain, going conical when i can

The shanks are a pain. I ran welds on my race car. And tried them on my 15. And if your not careful. You’ll forget the plastic spacer. And then you’ll be baffled why your regular wheels don’t wanna go back on. Don’t ask me how I know this.

The Racestars now use conical. I recently switched from Recluse Racestars to Weld S71. Both use conical
