Compatibility between Explorer 2.3 and Mustang 2.3

So I recently had the block on my mustang blow itself to bits and need a replacement. I’ve taken this as a sign to get a GT instead, but that still leaves me needing to replace the engine before selling. Thus, I’m going with something stock.

Does anyone know if the bottom end of the explorer’s ecoboost 2.3 is compatible/identical to the Mustang’s? They’re far cheaper to buy than pulls from Mustangs.
