Okay, so I have 15,547 miles on my 2016 Ecoboost. Does anyone else have the issue of the clutch not being as smooth and actually having to force/grind into gears??? I have CAI, SCT base tune that is it for "performance"

If the clutch is not disengaging all of the way and or your left foot isn't far down enough it can cause a notchy shift. Then again the MT82 is known for being a little rough around the edges so it can just be normal.

Did this issue just start for you or has it always been present?

It seems to have started within the past few thousand miles. And is progressively getting worse. Almost to the point of when I'm just driving around town I have to "force" it into 2nd & 3rd gears. If I need to upgrade clutch & flywheel I guess I will, just seems odd that at 15K miles I would need to do that.:(

Before you change any parts I recommend trying BG Syncro Shift II transmission fluid, it made a huge difference for me.

Take it to the dealer first, before you change anything as it's still under warranty.

Mine seemed rough at first especially when cold and I discovered it was because I wasn't fully depressing the clutch, I'm 5'9 with only a 30 inch inseam. I moved my seat closer where I could get the clutch all the way to the firewall(and I do mean all the way) and all the problems went away. I will be buying one of those clutch pedal extenders from AM soon.

+1

As long as you are not modified you can give the dealer a shot for warranty.

The only replacement clutch for this car I know of is the McLeod upgraded disk leaving you to buy an OEM dual mass FW (unless you go with the lightweight Fidanza FW) and OEM pressure plate if you want to replace the whole unit. Not the best option IMO but I am sure there is a complete aftermarket replacement down the pipeline.
