Clear Plastidip as 3M Clear Bra Replacement

Curious what how you guys feel about this idea? At first thought it seems as a decent replacement at a fraction of the cost. Im sure the 3M would offer a better protection against potential paint chips. I have never heard of plastidip before seeing modifications to the S550 but it has certainly captured my attention. Thoughts?

Plastidip won't offer any protection at all, the stones etc will just peel it away.

It will offer some protection, but very little. Especially with the clear dip because it's much thinner than the colored dips. Plastidip has its applications, but not as a clear bra replacement.
