Have any of you heard of or tried a product called "California Duster", which has a paraffin wax in it.
It is supposed to pick off dust par excellence
I bought it from Amazon---but I am scared to use it

Yep, I had one for my 05 Vert. Worked just fine on light dust, pollen, etc. Anything more is out of it's realm and could scratch. I live on gravel roads so every lunch at work I'd give the car a dusting...worked pretty well with no harm done.

I too was interested in this. I have never owned one...I would be careful however as you will be "sweeping" dust around your clear coat.
I washed, sealed, waxed, and used a detailing spray and the dust seems to stick a lot less now. I still have to wash it once a week. (I have a black car)

The California Duster is a great tool to have, you just have to use it properly.

I bought one because I have not had a black car in many years. Just washed it for the first time and have not used the duster yet!

Does it really work? Cause i bought a bootleg version from harbor freight and it left scratches and swirl marks everywhere..

I have one that I've used on my '98 GT for years. Never noted a scratch from it, and I'm super picky about my detailing. If you've ever been to a street rod show (think NSRA), you'll see them in use on rides with much higher budgets than many of our new cars.
