Anyone done this? This is a bit expensive, but the results are amazing! My buddy is doing his BMW this weekend. I did a search and I was surprised to see that no one has done this yet. I'm really considering this.... maybe, this thing is expensive.

Proceed with caution? I was interested in your question spent an hour looking around for information. I have no experience with CilaJet. If Project Whitemare likes it, to me, that is a great recommendation. BUT:

Always is one, right? On general searches, there are the typical lovers and haters. In one discussion, A guy was pointing people to a lawsuit against the company. I did not quite get the difference of opinion, but the current president of CilaJet felt the need to comment and invited people to call him.

In the detailing forums I am part of, there is hardly any talk on this product. That is a red flag to me. If it was really good, you would think the "best of" threads would have mentioned the product. Not much. The threads I found in my detailing forums, are questions of bad technique used to install it and how to remove it.

If any coating is not installed properly, we all know that's an accident waiting to happen. Everything from swirls and water spots showing through as white streaks when the car air drys after a rain shower.

If Whitemare loves it, that is a great sign. I would proceed with caution and make damn sure it gets installed the right way, with the right technique. Do not let the dealership do it for you unless you know the guy installing it, knows what they are doing. If you are installing it, get schooled up.

Because of the lack of talk, support issues people post about the company not answering questions, the multiple comments on white spot issues on paint, and the cost, I would suggest as an option to think about, selecting something more mainstream. Some thing that fits your skill level and the importance coating features that that are important in to you. Such as l length of coverage, cost, ease of application, support from company, if it is recommended to apply wax or sealants on top, the company having green practices.... What ever those are.

Absolutely, I agree with you. I found kind of odd that I've never heard of this before he mentioned it. Like I said, my buddy is doing his wife's Benz today, and then he will do his BMW this weekend. I going to inspect the work and see how it comes out. They will do his entire exterior and interior for.... wait for it..... $800 (one car) :eyebulge:. That being said, the product is guaranteed 100% for ten years. In theory, it will protect the paint against minor scratches, and those small/tiny rocks that loves to chip our bumpers. In addition, it is supposed to keep the car super shiny as well, no more waxing and such. You just have to rinse with water and dry. We will see, I'll let you guys know, maybe I'll take a couple of pictures.
