Mine is 4 years old and I got a cheapo booster from Mothercare as she's only in the car for short journeys in town, anything longer and I would put the full car seat in the rear.

My 17 year old daughter often jumps into the back of my XK8 for lifts. She sat in the back of a GT vert when I test drove it at Kidlington, Oxford a few months back. She said it had much more room. Especially leg room. Headroom is less in fastback...... hope she'll be okay, I did promise :doh:

My 4 year old daughter (who's the height of a 6 year old) fits fine in the rear of the car on the passenger side using a full size isofix Britax Kidfix seat (I think it is).

It was a pain in the arse installing it but now its installed my daughter is really comfortable, can see out the windows and has reasonable leg/foot room.

It was a condition of buying the car that we took the child seat and a suitcase (to test the boot) when we went to test drive the car before I was allowed to get rid of the A6 Avant... ;)

Good info. So rear seats okay for anyone approximately 5'6" or less. Saves the bother of letting people test it!

Vert rears are good for 6 footers; roof line is higher.

I think i am definitely going to struggle to fit everyone in.

I am 6ft 2 and i have a 2 year old in a maxi cosi tobi and a 6 week old in a maxi cosi pebble.. i dont think either child seat will fit behind me... anyone fitted either of those seats?

I will find out next week anyway..

I had the pebble, this is the next stage, fits fine with 5ft 10 wifey in front.
