Those are usually the best ones; but be sure to price check on Amazon. They often have some much better deals on some items along w/Prime shipping.

I get all their stuff from Amazon, free two day shipping and good pricing.
The only catch is sales tax now in FL. Sometimes it's better for the slower shipping when CG has a sale and free shipping.

Either way, you can't go wrong with their products. Also look into Amazon's Subscribe and Save for a lot of their stuff and save an additional 15%.

Buy the Harbor Freight version and get a good 5" backing plate. I have one and its just as good as my buddy's Porter Cable that I "borrowed" for a year, lol.

51 pages of info here on the HF polisher.

is the only reason to get the 5" backing plate so that it does not eat up the pads? and also should i just tryout the harbor freight pads for a simple polish and seal or just jump straight into some hex logic ones ?

Personally there is not a chance in hell I'd let a HF pad touch my car.

I use the HF black finishing pad all the time for putting on wax/sealant and it works just like some of my Lake County ones. But yeah, if you can spend a little extra money and get some nice microfiber pads or foam pads. If you look around for some deals online you can find some very good pads for the price you will pay for the Harbor Freight ones.
